At this year’s Miami Music Week, we sat down with Jamie Hiron to discuss his journey from a behind-the-scenes songwriter and producer to becoming the face of his music.
There are many paths to entering the music industry, and every artist has a story. For Jamie Hiron, that story has seen him spend much of his career creating music for other artists. While he says he’s loved working with notable names like Alex Robson and Karen Harding, he also has a deep love of singing and is excited to get in front of the mic finally.
At just 21 years old, Jamie has undoubtedly achieved a lot for his age. Based in Portsmouth, UK, Jamie has been going to the studio since 9 and has spent all that time honing his incredible talent.
During his professional career, he’s worked with iconic industry producers like MALARKEY, Dan Heale, and JAYEM while proving himself an expert songwriter with a lot to offer the music world. Now his new song ‘Find Me’ is set to release on Axios Records, and the achievement of what he’s managed seems to be hitting home finally.
When Jamie began, he says his taste was relatively Radio focused but has broadened over the years to encompass a wide range of genres. From dance music to house to pop and even soul, Jamie’s eclectic taste borrows a little from everywhere, and you can see that reflected in his work. But, above all else, his favorite genre is R&B.
“The lyrics are special to me. It means a lot. At face value, it’s about finding yourself, and it’s quite special because it describes my journey in the music industry. I’ve been writing a lot behind the scenes, and now I’m coming to the forefront of my career and being able to find myself as an artist. So I’m proud of that one, and I can’t wait for people to listen to it.”

“I just think that music is such a beautiful thing. There are so many different genres that you can appreciate and connect with.”
After long working behind the scenes, Jamie says he’s finally ready to bring his music into the public eye. After ‘Find Me,’ he says he has several other projects in the coming year, including some tracks he has worked on for a long time.
