Adele may have had some technical difficulties when she performed at last Sunday’s Grammys, but her performance of “All I Ask” on Ellen with Ellen DeGeneres had no such problems:
According to MTV, the problems at the award show stemmed from a microphone inside the piano falling onto the strings, emitting a sharp clanging sound. “It put the whole thing off really,” Adele said of the situation. “In the room they sorted the problem, and I’m always a bit pitchy anyway.”
The pop star also revealed that she spent much of the next day in tears: “I cried pretty much all day yesterday,” she admitted, adding that “in fairness, I would’ve cried if it’d went really well as well If it’d been a stand-out performance, I would’ve cried as well. I always cry.”
But if you’re in need of a laugh after all those tears, Adele agreed to help Ellen prank a Jamba Juice and you can watch the full video of the hilarious encounter below. You won’t be disappointed: it includes the star munching on some decorative wheatgrass and pulling a bottle of amaretto out of her purse and asking for it to be added to her smoothie.
