Benny Benassi’s management posted via the producer/DJ’s Twitter yesterday that he has sustained “a serious injury due to a skiing accident,” and has cancelled all of his forthcoming shows.

It is said the artist was seriously injured when he collided with another skier, and was immediately taken to hospital. Billboard reached out to Benny for a comment, in which the artist responded by explaining that he had broken his shoulder while skiing and will be taking January and February off to recover. He has also posted an update to his Instagram account, saying that he’ll “do [his] best to make up all the shows [he] had to cancel.”
Benassi was scheduled to play Atlanta on Friday, Los Angeles on Saturday, and Houston next Wednesday, among other stops.
