BLOND:ISH isn’t just a DJ act—it’s a movement. Fronted by Canadian artist Vivie-Ann Bakos, BLOND:ISH has evolved from a DJ duo into a solo project that transcends traditional electronic music boundaries. With a sound that fuses house, deep tech, and world influences, BLOND:ISH has carved out a unique space in the global dance music scene—one that’s spiritual, sustainable, and deeply connected to the planet.
BLOND:ISH began as a duo in Montreal, comprised of Vivie-Ann Bakos and Anstascia D’Elene. They gained early traction with hypnotic DJ sets and releases on respected labels like Kompakt and Get Physical. Their deep, melodic sound caught the attention of the global underground, and they quickly became fixtures at iconic festivals and clubs like Burning Man, Coachella, and Ibiza’s WooMoon.
In 2019, Vivie-Ann took the reins as a solo act, continuing the BLOND:ISH brand while expanding its creative and social mission. Under her leadership, the project became even more immersive, incorporating mindfulness, spiritual healing, and environmental activism into the music experience.
One of the most defining aspects of BLOND:ISH is its environmental consciousness. Vivie-Ann launched the Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, a global initiative to eliminate single-use plastics from the music industry. The campaign has rallied thousands of DJs and event organizers to rethink how festivals and clubs approach sustainability.
Through her “eco-rider” and advocacy work, BLOND:ISH proves that the party doesn’t have to come at the planet’s expense.

BLOND:ISH’s music is more than just beats—it’s a journey. Her sets weave tribal percussion, ethereal synths, world vocals, and organic textures that create an uplifting, often psychedelic experience. Whether she’s remixing classic tracks like Madonna’s Frozen or dropping cosmic originals like Waves, Vivie-Ann taps into a frequency that connects people on both physical and emotional levels.
Her releases have landed on labels like Crosstown Rebels, ABRACADABRA (her own imprint), and Spinnin’ Deep—showcasing versatility across genres while maintaining an unmistakable spiritual core.
Vivie-Ann is also the founder of ABRACADABRA, a music and wellness collective that curates virtual festivals, hybrid events, and NFT experiences blending music, meditation, and environmental consciousness. During the pandemic, ABRACADABRA hosted multi-day livestream festivals that reached millions worldwide and raised money for social causes.
BLOND:ISH represents a future-facing vision of dance music: one that’s inclusive, responsible, and transformative. Vivie-Ann continues to inspire a global community of music lovers, eco-warriors, and spiritual seekers—proving that the dancefloor can be a space for connection, healing, and real-world change.
Whether she’s playing sunrise sets in Tulum or headlining stages at Tomorrowland, BLOND:ISH brings more than music—she brings a movement.
