For dedicated and hardcore electro fans, Serbia’s EXIT Festival is one of the most exciting events on the summer festival calendar. Taking place at the historic Petrovaradin Fortress in the beautiful city of Novi Sad—just north of Belgrade, Serbia’s capital—EXIT is deservedly hyped as an unforgettable experience, having twice won the Best Major Festival award at the European Festivals Awards.
Year after year, organizers of this event have shown their appreciation for DJs from across the world by packing their lineups with electronic artists that range from fresh-faced beatmakers to the biggest names in EDM. Check out our breakdown of EXIT 2023’s lineup below!
This 2023 edition of the EXIT Festival, taking place this upcoming weekend from July 6th to 9th, boasts the festival’s most expansive DJ lineup yet, with huge names like The Prodigy, Skrillex, Camelphat, and Nina Kraviz slated to perform for the event’s 200,000 expected attendees.
Opening the female-packed first night are headliners Nina Kraviz and The Prodigy, as well as some must-see techno and house artists like Belgium’s Amelie Lens and Avalon Emerson, whose recent dreampop debut album “& The Charm” was received to great acclaim. Ben UFO’s experimental dance music will also feature on the first night, as will a set from English electronic duo Chase & Status, whose collaborators have included the likes of Plan B, CeeLo Green, and Rihanna.
Skrillex, Eric Prydz, and Camelphat are set to headline the second day of the EXIT, with additional sets by young Scottish dance music duo LF System (‘Afraid to Feel’), Armada Music’s Turkish-Dutch DJ Burak Yeter, South Africa’s award-winning afro-house DJ Shimza, and Istanbul-based Carlita, whose experimental music finds its route in her classical background. Also slated to perform are two of Serbia’s leading techno and deep house artists, Coeus and Space Motion.
Swedish progressive-house legend Alesso will act as EXIT’s Day 3 headliner, with additional sets by Grammy-nominated duo Sofi Tukker and Vintage Culture, the latter of whose hypnotic house promises to entrance festival goers. Further day three highlights: Partiboi69 (of “K On My D + C” fame) will be making his EXIT debut, Belgrade-native Mene will perform on the heels of the release of his Masave EP, and German tech house duo Claptone will grace the stages of this iconic festival.
EXIT 2023 will close out with several electronic heavy hitters, including Belgian-Greek DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, performers from the legendary German techno house label Keinemusik, and a set from Ben Bohmer, described as “German Electronic music’s brightest rising star” (insomnia.com). Also slated to perform on closing night are Turkish DJ and producer Mahmut Orhan, Italian-born and Berlin-based IDM duo Mind Against, and multi-disciplinary artist and producer Patrick Mason.
