DJ/Producer duo Mesa & Boss stopped by the AOC Gaming space at Nexus Lounge Miami to give us the scoop on their latest tracks and offer a fun glimpse into their lives with our Take 5 series!
Mesa & Boss, a Texas-based duo comprising Kenneth Boss and Joe Mesa, is quickly making waves in the EDM scene. Known for their spontaneity and unique approach, they are fearless in breaking the rules and pushing the boundaries with their intricately layered and expertly crafted productions.
Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Mesa & Boss have channeled their drive, focus, and tenacity to become a powerful emerging force in the independent music scene. Their music is fueled by a deep passion for evoking emotion and sharing their love for the EDM genre.
Mesa & Boss amplifies their music passion by blending multiple genres into their DJ sets, earning them gigs at international venues. They’ve hit the charts in countries like the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Russia, Yemen, Thailand, Kosovo, Belarus, L.A., India, and Sweden. Their talent has also garnered direct support from renowned artists such as Max Vangeli, FELIX DA HOUSECAT, Steve Lawler, Paige, Alex The Kid, and Lucky Date.
During Miami Music Week, the DJ/Producer duo had an unforgettable night at Damon Sharpe’s Brainjack Party alongside Disco Fries. Reflecting on the experience, they shared with a laugh, “They find a way of just extending themselves and keeping the energy going.”
Their upcoming projects will showcase their love for music as an art form and explore the intricate aspects of the human psyche.
"We actually have a project coming up right now. We are in the works with Halien as a vocalist on a track, and it is also a collaboration with Martin Vorwerk, a legendary producer." They recently wrapped up a release with Dim Mak that debuted in February. Now, they're gearing up for their next release with Revealed Recordings titled "The Reason."
Despite the demanding nature of the music industry, Mesa & Boss maintains a sense of humor and resilience. When asked about the most absurd thing they’ve experienced, they shared a lighthearted moment, ‘We were once convinced that nap time was just for children.‘
