Over the last decade, Becky Hill has risen from a standout performance on The Voice UK to international stardom, becoming a dominant voice in the UK’s music scene. She’s won multiple BRIT awards for Song of the Year and Best Dance Act, she’s released three albums, and she’s toured all over the world.
Now she’s coming up on her fourth album, and the excitement amongst her fans is palpable. But what can we expect from Believe Me Now? And when will the album be available to purchase?
Release Date
Believe Me Now is set to be released on May 31st this year, making it the perfect album to kick off your summer. Of course, eager fans won’t have to wait that long as three of the album’s singles have already been released.
“Side Effects,” “Disconnect,” and her latest single, “Never Be Alone,” have all received an excellent response, and if they’re anything to go by, then Believe Me Now is likely to be something extraordinary.
As if that wasn’t enough, both “Disconnect” and “Side Effects” have received multiple official remixes, giving fans plenty of music to hold them over until May 31st.
What To Expect
After the stunning success of her 2021 album Only Honest on the Weekend, suffice it to say there’s a fair amount of expectation heading into this next major project. Fortunately for everybody, Hill hasn’t let that affect her process. Instead, she has been working harder than ever to deliver an authentic album authentically true to herself and her sound.
According to Hill, Believe Me Now reflects the personal change she’s been through moving from her “turbulent twenties” into her thirties as “a more confident, knowledgeable and self-assured woman.”
Covering “tales of loneliness, togetherness, love, and betrayal,” fans can expect an album with a wide emotional range and storytelling.
Hill has also highlighted how the album will draw on multiple dance music genres, including drum ‘n’ bass, techno, and trance, allowing Hill to put her spin on these iconic sounds.
The Tour
Hill is planning a massive tour of the UK and Ireland over the summer, along with a handful of dates in continental Europe this spring. Tickets are still on sale from Antwerp, Belgium, on April 10th to London, UK, on October 24th. You can check out the full details on her official website.
Album Formats
Alongside the album’s digital release, it will be available in various formats, including CD, vinyl, and even cassette tape. So, for those who love your physical media, this one will be an excellent collector’s item.
With her incredible energy and songwriting prowess, it’s no surprise that Becky Hill continues capturing the dance music world. Here at Nexus Radio, we can’t wait to hear what she’s got in store for us this May, and we’re sure it’ll be something extraordinary.
