Jasper Gelderblom, better known as TV Noise, dropped by the KEF pop-up studio for a brief chat about his ADE experience. Additionally, he took a moment to answer some “get-to-know” questions during our Take 5!

TV Noise used to be a dynamic duo hailing from the Netherlands. In 2010, Jelmer ten Hoeve and Jasper Gelderblom were total rookies in the production and DJing game. Fast forward two years, and these newcomers snagged a deal with the iconic Martin Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS. Since then, they’ve been cooking up some seriously cool tracks and remixes that are anything but ordinary.

TV Noise has had a blast producing, remixing, and teaming up with a stellar lineup of talent, showcasing their skills alongside heavyweights like Martin Garrix, Julian Jordan, The Chainsmokers, Oliver Heldens, Sam Feldt, Calvin Harris, Diplo, Major Lazer, DJ Snake, Tiësto, Kygo, Avicii, Martin Solveig, and Dannic. Their knack for tuning into each artist’s vibe and infusing innovation into the music scene has ensured a constant flow of exciting projects throughout the early stages of their career.

During the second quarter of 2018, a pivotal moment unfolded for the duo. TV Noise unleashed “808,” a track that gained renown for its signature monkey sound and has since made its mark by being featured in 267 sets to date.

TV Noise continued its studio supremacy by crafting music for various brands, labels, and artists. They played a significant role in producing for global artists associated with a diverse array of labels such as Spinnin’ Records, Musical Freedom, Warner Music, Sony, Universal, Atlantic Records, Big Beat, Smash The House, Barong Family, Protocol, Doorn, Revealed, and Calvin Harris’s Fly Eye.

In many ways, TV Noise achieved the professional success that every modern artist aspires to attain. However, even amid a stellar career, conflicts can arise. As 2022 rolled in, the group transitioned from a dynamic duo to a solo act as Jelmer ten Hoeve departed to explore new ventures and pursuits.

Jasper Gelderblom was left to continue the journey of TV Noise alone. To describe this lone force, one would use words like funny, motivated, and talented. With a passion for movies, TV shows, gadgets, special effects, and the symphony of sound they create, Jasper’s ears were tuned to the quirkiest of noises. “I have sampled a goat’s one. So I’m doing these videos on my socials. One video got 1 million views, with someone throwing a can at someone’s head, and I made a beat out of that. It was hilarious,” the DJ laughed.

For TV Noise’s debut solo project, Gelderblom returned to STMPD RCRDS to drop his highly anticipated ID, “Turn It Up.” And now, more than a year later, TV Noise proudly presents his latest track, “Ravers,” in collaboration with Tujamo. After years of mutual admiration, the two talents have finally united to craft a track that beautifully encapsulates the essence of their individual styles.

Certainly, delving into an artist's idols can reveal much about them. When asked about his musical inspirations, TV Noise answered, "I would love to sing as good as Lewis Capaldi. And he inspires me a lot, so I will probably be as cool. I would love to be him for a day."
