JEAN MARIE joined us at our Hey Dude Pop-Up Studio at the Nexus Lounge Amsterdam. The Italian-born DJ chatted with us about his love for ADE parties, shared his favorite parts of traveling the world, and played a quick game of Nexus’ Take 5 series.

It’s been a busy year for JEAN MARIE, who’s traveled worldwide to share his psytrance music with a loving audience and collaborate with some of the biggest acts in the industry. From Sean Paul and Flo Rida to Snoop Dogg, JEAN MARIE has worked as a producer with the best of the best; he’s released music through massive labels like Spinnin’ Records and Sony Music.

JEAN MARIES’ signature psytrance sound has taken him to massive dance festivals and has opened the doors for him to play at some of the most emblematic venues in the world, from the Ministry of Sound to BCM and Space of Ibiza. His act has received support from Nicky Romero, Timmy Trumpet, and Cedric Gervais, to name a few.

One of JEAN MARIE’s latest tracks was “MUMBAI,” released through Red Owl Records and a collaboration between JEAN MARIE, Raxx, and PULSAR. It’s a banger of a psytrance track featuring hard drops and electric synths that are perfect for the many venues JEAN MARIE’s been touring.

Moving to our interview, the DJ tells us that the parties are his favorite part of ADE. He’s already played a few parties and is looking forward to letting loose at the many events taking place throughout the event.

Managing to join us for a quick game of our Take 5 series, the DJ shares the three dead or alive people he’d love to have dinner with. He also tells us a crazy story about getting his luggage stolen on his way to a gig—more details in the complete and exclusive interview below.
