Karen Harding exploded onto the scene last year with the Top 10 UK pop hot “Say Something.” Her soulful vocals over the shuffling MNEK-produced beats captured the attention of club djs and became a major radio hit. A few brilliant club track collaborations followed – “New Love” with the Arches and an update of the eurodance classic by JK “U Make Me Feel Good” with Blonde, retitled as “Feel Good (It’s Alright.)”
Ready to conquer 2016, Karen’s new single “Open My Eyes” is gaining a strong club following with an insanely strong remix package (KDA, MJ Cole, Zed Bias, TWB.) Though once again, it is all about her voice and her song.
Nexus’ own RONS caught up with Karen Harding in London right before she was heading out on the road to open for drum and bass icons Sigma. They talked about everything from her Filipino background and geography to her discover of house music and the true meaning of “those girls.”
