Grammy nominated dance producer, Kaskade, recently signed a two full album deal with Warner Brothers. With 8 previous album released on independent labels like Ultra Records, this will be Kaskade’s first major label release.
Kaskade shed some light on the subject stating:
” I was always cautious to make the move from independent to major. I feel like the majors have such an agenda…and although I’m a producer, I’m an artist first. I don’t need the factory behind me. I just need help getting my music heard. When I met with Cameron Strang (Warner Bros. CEO) and shared my vision with him, I felt like, okay, this guy gets it.”
With three Grammy nominations to his name, Kaskade will be a good move for Warner Bros. to cater to the EDM demographic. Kaskade has been making big moves since creating his own label, Arkade, and won’t be stopping anytime soon at 43 years old.
