The 2010 “Cooler Than Me” hitmaker Mike Posner has announced an upcoming Unplugged tour. Not only will Posner be unplugging himself from his usual scene, but he’ll literally be unplugging….everything.
“For the last year or so, we’ve been doing a lot of speaking events, whether it’s visiting my old high school or Chicago Ideas Week—things of that nature,” said Posner in Billboard interview.
The songwriter looks forward to holding Q&A sessions during his tour as he commented, “Sometimes I think people get as much, if not more..out of..a story about a hardship or a battle to overcome.”
This untraditional tour will definitely have audiences experiencing things far beyond the collective appreciation for his music.
“I know that’s not a customary thing to do on a tour, but, you know, there’s no roof” said Posner “I know it’ll be very fulfilling for both me and my fans.”
The tour will have songs from both his earlier works and his latest album “Pages,” as well as “potential live [productions]” of “a song or two.”
Straying from his last appearance on the Justin Bieber tour in arenas jam-packed with fans, Posner looks forward to playing in smaller venues with a softer, more acoustic sound.
The tour starts March 28 in Indiana and ends March 31 in Oregon. For more information about locations and ticket prices visit the official Mike Posner website.
