Other genres of music have their own award shows (as Vulture points out: “we’ve got the CMAs, the CMTs, Latin Grammys, BET Hip-Hop Awards, Soul Train Awards, Celebration of Gospel, Stellar Awards…”), so why shouldn’t EDM? 2016 marks the inaugural Electronic Music Awards and Foundation, to be presented by founder DJ Paul Oakenfold. The hour-long special will be broadcast on Fox on April 23rd.
