Lako is a DJ hailing from Macedonia. He began DJing at 15, and his musical taste has improved and developed since then. He had several residencies in his homeland and performed in clubs across the country. Lako’s current focus is on tech house sounds, but he also dabbles in other genres.
Lako is currently hosting a radio show called dRNCh!, which airs every Saturday at 10 PM on a local radio station (Galaxy FM – Kavadarci). The show is split into two: the first hour features his weekly mix, and the second session promotes guests’ mixes from Macedonian DJs who are either unknown or popular in the country. His primary ambition is to boost the music scene in his hometown.
As the year comes to a close, Lako shares that his performance at the Ministry of Sound in London was the highlight of the year. Lako recently celebrated another career milestone by performing for the first time at the Amsterdam Dance Event. Fireworks, his most recent collaboration with Norah B, is now out on Future House Cloud. He also hinted that he is working on a slew of new songs that will be released in the near future, so keep an eye out for them!
On a different note, Lako is an avid fan of Lady Gaga. “When I was a child, I fell in love with Lady Gaga’s music,” the DJ revealed. One of his covers was of Lady Gaga’s hit “Bad Romance.” This just shows Lady Gaga’s ability to influence people of various races, cultures, and professions.
