Swedish Duo Ivy Lane Ignites Anticipation with Upcoming EP Announcement

THE 10 Qs SERIES

Sweden’s electrifying music scene has birthed a fresh pop sensation – Ivy Lane. Meet the magical combination of producer Jonathan and singer/songwriter Kevin, ready to conquer the music world with their irresistible electronic pop tunes, brimming with hope and wrapped in dreamy melodies.

Ivy Lane marked their grand entrance with the release of their debut single ‘Untouchable,’ which dropped on July 4th. One half of this dynamic duo is KEV, known for collaborating with Klahr and Jübel and sharing the stage with Liam Payne in front of massive 35K audiences. If you loved KEV’s previous music, this first single from Ivy Lane will surely captivate you. The song is a daring and skillfully-crafted electronica with a touch of cinematic brilliance, highlighted by its epic chorus melody that feels like a blockbuster hit in the making.

Only a month has passed, and Ivy Lane is already teasing us with exciting news. “We’re super happy to announce that our first EP will come out on August 11th. We also have our first show the day after the EP release.” They will premier their new track during The Top 20 Countdown this Saturday at 8pm, so don’t miss out!

With anticipation building up, Ivy Lane is all set to unleash their musical creations to the world. When asked, their definition of success lies in the ability of their songs to inspire and bring together a society. “At the start of this project, we felt great success in getting a small number of followers, a label, and releasing our music. But on a big scale, we would like to create a big community, having shows in different spots around the world and being able to live off our music.”

Q: Before we dig in, what's next for you?

Hey guys, super happy that we got to this with you! We just released our first single as Ivy Lane, called Untouchable, and we’re super happy to announce that our first EP will come out on August 11th. We’re also having our first show the day after the EP release. We’re super stoked.

Q: What are your thoughts on the meaning of success, and how do you define success for yourself?

There are different levels to success; at the start of this project, we felt great success in getting a small number of followers, a label, and releasing our music. But on a big scale, we would like to create a big community, having shows in different spots around the world and being able to live off our music. We have big dreams!

Q: What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever bought?

Kevin: I didn’t buy it myself, but on my birthday I got” Snake wine” from Thailand. It was disgusting. It was a real snake in a bottle of wine.
Jonathan: Not ridiculous, but recently I bought a Porsche 911 in Legos.

Q: What's the most memorable fan encounter you've ever had?

Kevin: I have two that come to mind instantly. One was a fan telling me he had recently lost his father to cancer and that he had used one of my songs to carry him thru the loss. The other one was when I was in Paris, and their stod fans were waiting to talk with me outside.
Jonathan: Every fan encounter is special in its way. We love fans that come up chatting.

Q: Where and when would you go if you could travel back to any historical moment?

Kevin: I would’ve gone to the moment when Leonardo Da Vinci finished the Mona Lisa painting.
Jonathan: I would have loved to go to a Michael Jackson concert.

Q: If you could only listen to three songs for the rest of your life, which ones would you choose?

Kevin:
Holocene, Bon Iver.
Somebody else, The 1975
Dancing on my own, Robyn

Jonathan:
After the love has gone, Earth Wind and Fire.
Rock with you, Michael Jackson.
Wasting Angels, Kid Laroi & Post Malone

Q: What is your philosophy on happiness, and how do you strive to maintain a sense of happiness and well-being?

We surround ourselves with the ones we love, chase our dreams, and try to live in the moment, doing what we want. (But happiness could be a cure of coffee in the morning…)

Q: How do you see dance music evolving in the future?

With our music, we try to be genre-transcending, not putting any boundaries on ourselves. And the same for music in general; artists can be more experimental today and try a lot of different stuff.

Q: If you could switch lives with any other celebrity for a week, who would it be?

Kevin: I would have changed life with some president or like a king.
Jonathan: Elon Musk, to be the richest in the world.

Q: What's the weirdest thing you've ever Googled?

Kevin:” Can you drink snake wine.”
Jonathan: “Whats the weirdest somebody Googled”
