Terri B!

In her career, Terri B! has teamed up with some heavyweights in the club music scene, including Laidback Luke, Cazzette, Joey Negro, and Roger Sanchez, just to name a few. Her vocals have graced remixes by Avicii, and she’s collaborated with a slew of electronic music royalty. She’s hit number one on the US Billboard Club Songs chart three times, racked up over 65 million streams on Spotify for her track ‘Blind Heart’ with Cazzette, and earned over 450,000 spins on Russian pop radio for ‘Heaven’ in 2010. Plus, she’s dominated the Traxsource charts at the top spot.

During our interview, we couldn’t pass up the chance to ask about the inspiration behind her latest track with Luca Cassini, “Do It Like This.” “I wrote the song in the body of a gay man, and it was exactly the moment in life when you realize you can’t explain and discuss who you are with people anymore. I felt like since I was a kid, I was tuned into the LBGTQ culture. Everything: the music, the style, the communards, the Jimmy Somerville. And so I always understood and felt a connection to this music.”

Besides her music career, Terri B! is deeply involved in advocacy work.

“I’m working on a lot of tracks. The general (sound) is bass-house, but also something more club-house, more clubby, groovy, with some cool vocals.I try to make my best step-by-step for sure.”
