After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Tomorrowland 2022 is back in full force! Not only will the famed Belgian mega-festival host a whopping 700 artists during the event, but it will also expand to three weekends in 2022. And they have finally confirmed the full details of this year’s edition!
Tomorrowland is the world’s largest dance music festival, bringing the biggest names in electronic music to its enchanted wonderland in the Belgian town of Boom every summer. For decades, Euro-worshippers took the time to watch DJ gods drop their beats on the festival circuit. With the emergence of US-based EDM events like Miami’s Ultra Music Festival and the multi-city Electric Daisy Carnival in recent years, electronic music has exploded all over the globe. Nevertheless, Tomorrowland is unquestionably the best.
As early as September 2021, when Tomorrowland spokesman Debby Wilmsen claimed the event had to “cushion the financial hangover” of the multiple postponements, rumors about the expansion began to gain traction. In an attempt to make up for lost time following a stormy spate of cancelations caused by the pandemic’s impact, the renowned Belgian festival will now take place over three weekends in July: July 15-17, July 22-24, and July 29-31. “The Reflection of Love” will be the theme for Tomorrowland’s 16th anniversary this year. EDM, house, techno, hardstyle, drum and bass, trance, and other genres are all represented across tens of stages, many of which will be curated by some of the industry’s most prominent brands and artists.
They always love to surprise us with special sets or spectacular B2B sets, and they did exactly that this year in classic Tomorrowland spirit. On the Sunday of Weekend 2, we’ll have to wait to see what Alesso presents Eclipse is all about when he performs this spectacular set at the famous Freedom stage. There’s also good news for Eric Prydz fans: not only is his HOLO concept back, but it’ll be available on all three weekends, so no one has to miss out on this mind-blowing design.
Tomorrowland’s grand comeback this summer will entail three enchanting weekends of magic for all ages! This year’s epic three-weekend party features hundreds of well-known acts, including Above & Beyond, ACRAZE, Adam Beyer, Adriatique, Alan Walker, Alesso, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, ARTBAT, Cellini, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Diplo, DJ Diesel, Eric Prydz presents HOLO, Fisher, Kungs, Lost Frequencies, Maceo Plex, Major Lazer Soundsystem, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, Netsky, Paul Kalkbrenner, Reinier Zonneveld, SHOUSE, Tale Of Us, Tinie Tempah, Vintage Culture, and many more.
The catch is that it will be rather hard for music fans to get tickets to Belgium’s renowned Tomorrowland event, as the event sold out within minutes and has typically done so for the past several years.
Tomorrowland is one of the world’s leading dance music events, with a daily attendance of around 75,000 people. Now regarded as a mecca for all dance music fans, Tomorrowland is at the top of every dance fan’s festival bucket list. If I were you, I wouldn’t miss it for the world!
