Steve Aoki’s ‘Azukita’ Video Released

Alesso‘s not the only one getting into Latin beats lately; Steve Aoki, along with Daddy Yankee, Play N Skillz, and Elvis Crespo, just released the music video for “Azukita,” his first Spanish track. “I’ve always gravitated to Latin artists — whether Yankee or Balvin or Bad Bunny, I look up to what they’re doing,” he said. Billboard reports: “The clip, directed by Tyler Dunning Evans and produced by Matt Pfeffer, was filmed between Las Vegas and Miami and begins with Aoki and Yankee putting on virtual reality gear to start the “Azukita” battle game, which has been combined with a group of people doing Zumba.”

While the real Steve Aoki is exploring genre fusion, a wax version is getting ready to be unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas, DJ Mag reports. “This whole process has been super exciting so far, Madame Tussauds and I are both fun, outlandish, and all about delivering an unforgettable experience,” Aoki said. The wax figure will be unveiled on March 6th, adding to the small collection of DJs whose likenesses have been immortalized. Tiësto, Hardwell and Afrojack have had their own waxworks in the museum’s Amsterdam location.
