Adele Big Winner at BBC Music Awards

Adele is saying “Hello” to two new awards to keep on her mantelpiece. The pop star won big at the BBC Music Awards with top honors as winner of British Artist of the Year, as well as a bonus as top British Live Performance of the Year with “Adele at the BBC.”

Is anyone surprised?

This is not to say that Adele doesn’t totally deserve it; her new album is practically flying off the shelves. But the good people at the BBC made sure to recognize some other amazing talent from the past year as well. Performing at the event, according to Billboard, were One Direction, Ellie Goulding, and Rod Stewart.

Taylor Swift also didn’t go home alone; she walked away with the trophy for International Artist of the Year. Other artists of note to be nominated include Years & Years, Ed Sheeran, and Major Lazer.
