Dutch DJ and producer LAVERN, born is quickly becoming one of electronic music’s most exciting rising stars. With his blend of “emotive house” and “stutter house,” the 23-year-old artist has achieved over 210 million global streams, cultivated a loyal following of more than 7.7 million monthly Spotify listeners, and recently secured a residency in Las Vegas—a major milestone for the genre and for himself.
Raised in a quiet village near Amsterdam, Lavern began producing music at age 13, drawing early inspiration from EDM icons like Avicii and Armin van Buuren. After attending a show by Afrojack at the Ziggo Dome, he made the leap from bedroom producer to aspiring DJ.
His breakout single “Move Me”, released in 2021, launched his career into the digital spotlight. The track was embraced widely on Instagram Reels, with more than 750,000 user-generated videos, and eventually surpassed 50 million streams. The song’s success solidified LAVERN’s signature style: melodic deep house infused with rhythmic cuts and emotional overtones.

In 2023, his follow-up single “Hold Me” pushed boundaries even further. Embracing the “stutter house” format—featuring chopped, looped vocals over pulsing beats—the track exploded across TikTok and streaming platforms. It reached 100 million streams in just seven months, becoming a defining track in the emerging subgenre.
Now a fixture in the global club scene, LAVERN has performed in over 50 venues across North America and Europe, including Brooklyn Mirage (New York), Spybar (Chicago), LooLoo (Mexico City), and Celebrities (Vancouver). Festival highlights include appearances at Tomorrowland, Splash House, Freaky Deaky, and La Clairière in Paris.
In March 2025, LAVERN’s rising profile earned him a Las Vegas residency with TAO Group. His ongoing appearances at high-profile venues such as Hakkasan, Marquee, and Tao Beach mark a significant expansion into the U.S. market. Notably, he is among the first artists associated with the stutter house movement to achieve such recognition in the Vegas scene.
LAVERN has also built a strong reputation in the studio. He’s produced official remixes for major artists including Kygo, Becky G, and Ava Max, and released music through STMPD RCRDS, the label founded by Martin Garrix.
When asked about his rapid rise, he emphasizes humility and focus: “You never really know what will go viral. But when a track connects emotionally, it spreads fast. I try to create that emotional spark every time.”
With his combination of thoughtful production, viral momentum, and increasingly high-profile performances, LAVERN represents the next generation of Dutch electronic music talent—and shows no signs of slowing down.
