HUGEL, Imael Angel and Ultra Naté Strike Summer Gold With “Movin’ to the Sun”
Released May 22 through Make The Girls Dance Records, the uplifting house track has steadily grown from a club favorite into one of the defining dance records of summer 2026. Its combination of warm production, an instantly memorable refrain and Ultra Naté’s unmistakable vocal presence has helped the song connect far beyond its original dancefloor audience.
That crossover is now reflected across several major charts. “Movin’ to the Sun” recently climbed to No. 9 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, giving HUGEL, Imael Angel and Ultra Naté their first Top 10 on the ranking. The track generated approximately 16 million streams outside the United States during its latest chart-tracking period.
The single has enjoyed particularly strong success in the United Kingdom, where it reached No. 4 on the Official Singles Chart. It has also topped the Official Dance Singles, Singles Sales, Singles Downloads and Independent Singles charts. The song spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on several of those specialized rankings, demonstrating that its success has been driven by a combination of streaming, sales and club support.
Its radio momentum has been equally impressive. During the August 16–22 tracking period, “Movin’ to the Sun” reached No. 1 on the Mediabase dance radio chart after receiving approximately 750 spins—an increase of 67 plays from the previous week.
The track’s rise also represents an important new chapter for Ultra Naté. The Baltimore-born singer has been a defining presence in house music for more than three decades, most famously through her 1997 anthem “Free.” Her Billboard chart history stretches back to 1991 and includes seven No. 1 singles and 20 Top 10 entries on the former Dance Club Songs chart.
“Movin’ to the Sun” introduces her voice to another generation while preserving the sense of freedom and optimism that has characterized so much of her music.
For HUGEL, the song continues the French producer’s remarkable ability to create house records that work equally well in clubs, festivals and mainstream playlists. HUGEL has explained that the collaboration developed through his friendship with Ultra Naté after he discovered Imael Angel’s lyrics online. That organic combination of established experience and emerging talent has become one of the record’s greatest strengths.
