Madonna Announces Confessions On A Dance Floor Part 2 and Return to Warner Records

Madonna has officially announced her return to the dancefloor with a brand-new album, Confessions On A Dance Floor Part 2, slated for release in 2026. The project also marks her long-awaited reunion with Warner Records after more than two decades.

The Queen of Pop shared the news on Instagram yesterday (September 18), writing:
“Almost two decades later – and it feels like home with Warner Records. Back to music, back to the dancefloor, back to where it all began!”

The new record will serve as a sequel to Madonna’s 2005 hit album Confessions On A Dance Floor, which produced global anthems such as Hung Up and Sorry. Like its predecessor, the project will see her team up once again with UK DJ and producer Stuart Price, the creative force behind the original album’s sound. A release date and tracklist have not yet been revealed.

In a statement shared via NME, Madonna reflected on her career arc:
“From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again—and in fact that couldn’t have been truer. Since the beginning, Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected, while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

Warner Records co-chairmen Tom Carson and Aaron Bay-Schuck called Madonna’s return a “historic, full circle moment” that reaffirms her enduring impact.
“For decades, she has not only defined the sound of global pop music but also reshaped culture itself with her vision, innovation, and fearless artistry,” they said.

The announcement follows Madonna’s June release of Veronica Electronica, a long-rumoured remix companion to her 1998 classic Ray of Light, which featured rare and unreleased remixes by Sasha, William Orbit, and others.

With Confessions On A Dance Floor Part 2, Madonna promises to bring fans back to her roots while once again pushing boundaries on the dancefloor.
