We had the opportunity to connect with an emerging force in the music industry – MANTi, the Los Angeles-based Iranian DJ and producer during the Nexus Lounge in the Technics Space. Just off a flight from Los Angeles, MANTi arrived in Amsterdam three hours prior, brimming with excitement and energy despite the long journey.
MANTi’s visit to Amsterdam was driven by a mix of professional ambition and personal enthusiasm. In her own words, “Just networking, seeing a lot of friends…this is just a very good opportunity to connect with everyone.” As an artist residing thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, such events provide her a vital platform to meet and engage with industry peers, some of whom she doesn’t get to see often.
MANTi’s year has been a whirlwind of releases and performances. The artist has maintained a steady output, with one or two releases each month, culminating in a keenly anticipated single release the day following the interview. Highlighting the VA release on Sequence Records, she shared her enthusiasm for the melodic house and techno record, “[…] the tracks have been getting really good support from people like Taylor Buss, Kevin Debris, a lot of Afterlife folks.”
