Straight from the heart of Sardinia, Amlex, a rising DJ/Producer’s journey is nothing short of inspiring, driven by a relentless passion for music that took him from small-town performances to global stages.
Amlex’s adventure into the world of music started with humble beginnings back in 2005. Born in Sardinia, he quickly realized his calling. Starting out in local pubs, disco pubs, and nightclubs wasn’t enough for him. The desire to create and innovate led him to purchase Ableton Live Suite, which, along with his first MacBook Pro, sparked the beginning of his creative life. He began playing around, producing tracks, and sharing his work on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, SoundCloud, and YouTube. It was through these avenues that Amlex found immense satisfaction, realizing this was his true calling—a producer and DJ in one.
During our conversation at the Nexus Radio Lounge ADE edition, Amlex shared, “I would love to grow up my career and live for the music. That’s it. That’s my dream.” His honesty and determination were palpable, reflecting a personal evolution mirrored in his shifting musical landscapes.
His journey brought him across the Mediterranean to Rome, where further pursuit of his dreams was supported by renowned artists such as Angemi, R3WIRE, and Leandro Da Silva.
Facing the vibrant chaos of ADE, Amlex was as excited as he was honored. It wasn’t just about the opportunity to perform but about soaking in the surrounding genius and creativity from artists he has followed closely. He explained how he has drawn inspiration from various artists and genres, admitting a deep-seated nostalgia for the sounds of the ’80s and ’90s.

He described the process as an emotional journey, emphasizing a more sentimental tone in this work compared to his usual style.
