Known for her keen flavor of hip-hop and R&B infused beats, Tokimonsta (often styled TOKiMONSTA) is one of the most well-known female DJs/producers in the male-dominated genre. The LA producer has a keen flavor of hip-hop and R&B infused beats, known for enlisting the help of strong, soothing vocalists on her tracks. A classically trained pianist, Tokimonsta, experiments with new ways to make music. During her SXSW performance this March, she used her own heartbeat, which she recorded live before blending it into the music.
In late 2015, the artist teased sneak peeks to the work on her new album, sending her fans in frenzy. After a long wait for her fans, Tokimonsta has announced that her new album FOVERE is due to drop March 4th via the artist’s own Yound Art Records imprint.
In tandem with her album release, she’ll be performing at Coachella a month later in April.
