9. Kappa Futurfestival
Moving over to Italy, Kappa Futurfestival is perfect for anyone who’s looking for a more rounded festival experience. Alongside its incredible lineups, Kappa Futurfestival is known for its amazing art installations, making this one a feast for the eyes and the ears.
8. Coachella
A festival that probably needs no introduction for our American readers, Coachella is where California’s incredible music culture is always on full display. If you’re looking for fun in the sun, Coachella is the best on this side of the Atlantic.
7. Untold Festival
Back in Europe, Romania’s Untold Festival might not have the same international reputation as many of the other entries on this list, but it’s catching up quickly. Founded in 2015, Untold is already drawing in music fans worldwide while showcasing the very best in Romanian culture.
6. Creamfields
The first of our two UK entries, Creamfields is a titan of the dance music circuit where the very best DJs can always be found. You can’t go wrong if your number one focus is incredible lineups.
5. Sunburn
If you’re looking for a truly phenomenal experience that breaks the mould of your usual festival, then India’s Sunburn festival might just be perfect for you. Based in North Goa, the festival brings in DJs from all around the world to enjoy its incredible five-stage celebration of all things dance-music.
4. EDC Las Vegas
Of course, if you want something big, bombastic, and totally over the top, then Las Vegas is always the place to go. EDC Las Vegas is the kind of festival that’s always pushing boundaries and showing audiences something they’ve never seen before. It’s perhaps no surprise that this is North America’s biggest festival!
3. Glastonbury
Britain’s most iconic festival, Glastonbury is a major cultural event that has seen countless incredible performances from music legends such as Elton John and the Rolling Stones. While it might only be number three on our list, as far as most Brits are concerned, there’s only one thing that can threaten Glastonbury’s cultural dominance: the weather. Still, so long as you pack a raincoat and some thick boots (just in case), you’re sure to have a great time.
2. Tomorrowland
Any list of iconic festivals couldn’t be complete without Tomorrowland. A European music hub, Tomorrowland is the benchmark by which many DJs set their careers. If you’ve the mainstage at Tomorrowland, then, for many artists, that means you’ve made it.

Of course, here at Nexus, our #1 festival was always going to be Ultra Music Festival in Miami. While it might not have the scale of Tomorrowland or EDC Vegas, nor the same cultural ubiquity that Glastonbury promises, we believe that Ultra is everything a great festival should be.
With an amazing atmosphere and a palpable passion for music in the air, Ultra is a place where fans and artists can truly connect and share something special. If that’s not number one material, then we don’t know what is!
