2016’s Highest Paid DJs Revealed

Forbes has revealed the highest paid DJ’s of the year 2016, as it does every year for apparently no other reason than to spite the rest of us. It’s amazing the amount of money you can make by pressing play. The order of the list shared, especially at the top looks no different from 2015.

The list, billed as the “Electronic Cash Kings“, shows Calvin Harris leading the pack by some distance, having pocketed a cool $63 million, significantly more than his second and third placed competitors, Tiësto and David Guetta, who took home $38 million and $28 million respectively. The top five “Electronic Cash Kings” list is rounded off by Zedd and Steve Aoki who earned $24.5 million and $23.5 million a piece.

Other EDM mainstays like Diplo and Skrillex are pretty low down considering their profile, pulling  $23 million and $20 million respectively.

Forbes’ earning take into account all possible revenue streams for each DJ in its estimations.  Forbes’ Electronic Cash Kings 2016 list:
