Robyn Announces 2026 Sexistential Tour, Marking a Powerful Return to the Global Stage

Generational pop icon Robyn has officially announced her 2026 Sexistential Tour, a sweeping 20-date arena run across Europe, North America, and Australia. Supporting her newly released ninth studio album Sexistential, the tour marks her first full-scale world tour since 2019 and will feature the largest headline shows of her career. Highlights include London’s 20,000-capacity O2 Arena and three consecutive hometown nights at Stockholm’s Avicii Arena—an unmistakable statement of scale, confidence, and cultural relevance.

From Child Star to Cultural Architect

Robyn’s return lands with particular resonance when viewed through the lens of her background. Born Robyn Miriam Carlsson in Stockholm, she first stepped into the spotlight as a teenager in the mid-1990s, quickly becoming a household name in Sweden before breaking internationally. Unlike many early pop successes, Robyn made a decisive pivot in the 2000s—rejecting industry expectations and reclaiming creative control by founding her own label, Konichiwa Records. That move not only reshaped her own career but also helped redefine what artistic independence could look like for pop artists globally.

Over the years, Robyn has become synonymous with emotional honesty wrapped in club-ready euphoria—a rare balance that has influenced an entire generation of pop and electronic musicians. Albums like Body Talk didn’t just produce hits; they created a new emotional language for pop music, one where vulnerability, joy, and melancholy could coexist on the dancefloor

A Tour That Reflects Her Creative World

The Sexistential Tour extends that philosophy into a live setting, with a carefully curated lineup of special guests that reads like a map of Robyn’s creative universe. Across the UK, Europe, and North America, openers include Erika de Casier, Smerz, 808 State, Saya Gray, Mechatok, Romy, Zhala, Becky and the Birds, Nourished By Time, Peaches, Grace Ives, Lykke Li, and horsegiirL. Each artist reflects Robyn’s long-standing commitment to spotlighting boundary-pushing voices that challenge genre norms and expand pop’s emotional range.

A Confident New Era

Released on 27 March, Sexistential is Robyn’s first album since 2018’s Honey. Produced alongside longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund and featuring her first co-writes with Max Martin since 2010, the record stands as one of the most self-assured statements of her career. It channels decades of experience—commercial highs, artistic risks, and cultural impact—into a sound that feels both euphoric and deeply personal.

Recent high-profile appearances, from collaborative performances with David Byrne and Charli xcx to major television moments and festival announcements, have only heightened anticipation. With the Sexistential Tour, Robyn brings that momentum to arenas worldwide, reaffirming her role not just as a pop star, but as one of modern music’s most influential architects.
