Heading this year’s signature event, Dance On The Pier, is favorite songstress Demi Lovato, closing out NYC Pride on Sunday, June 28th at Pier 26 in Tribeca.
Dance on the Pier has been a NYC Pride tradition for nearly three decades and is Pride’s biggest fundraiser. Some of the past artists who have graced the stage has been Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston and Cher.
“It’s such an honor to be a part of the NYC Pride celebrations this year,” Lovato said in a statement. “I have been an active advocate of the LGBT community and am wholly committed to supporting individuality and being comfortable in one’s own skin. I am thrilled to be a part of both events as they are a wonderful celebration of independence and self-confidence.”
