Avicii’s Replacement for TomorrowWorld Announced

A lot of people attending TomorrowWorld in Georgia next weekend are fairly upset that they won’t get to see world famous superstar DJ and producer, Avicii this year. Avicii missed Ultra 2014 due to health issues after having emergency surgery prior to the Miami Festival and recently cancelled his TomorrowWorld set to recuperate from the same surgery.  It’s been confirmed though who the replacement will be and it’s rising Norwegian star, Kygo to fill in the 6:15-7:15 spot.

It’s ironic for the 22 year old because of the fact that he entered the realm of EDM at around 16 when he was first was inspired by tracks from Avicii. His claim to fame was his remix of “I See Fire” that accumulated 12.8 million plays on Soundcloud and 40 million times on YouTube.

He’s been asked by popular musicians such as Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Ellie Goulding and even his idol, Avicii, to remix some of their own tracks. He’s got a lot of potential and has a great opportunity to blow up with the time slot he has been handed. With his first big festival appearance at a stage like this and with the night slot he has, Kygo has a lot of pressure on performing a top quality mix.
