With only two months to go until Ultra Music Festival, unfortunate news arose this week when one of the original co-founders of the highly demanded festival, Alex Omes, was found dead.

Alex was only 43 years old and his death was announced over social media, but the cause of death still remains unknown. He and Russell Faibisch oversaw Ultra from 1999-2010 when they seperated due to conflicts.  Still with credit to his name for starting the festival, it continues to be one of the biggest festival in North America at the beautiful  location of Miami.

Alex was well respected in the nightlife community as well as the electronic dance music community and will be missed for his contributions. Ultra was the last place Swedish House Mafia performed back in 2013 when they headlined the last day. His memory will be carried on and thanked for his contribution of idea to start a festival such as this for people in America who share the same passion as he did, music.
