The club scene in Russia is growing larger and larger, spawning a whole new generation of producer/DJs. Leading the pack is Denis First.
Denis’ productions are heavily supported by DJs in the United States and England. Together with his partner Reznikov, they turn out high quality and DJ-friendly remixes of pop and club records with astonishing speed under their own names and the MCB77 name. When asked how they do it, he simply said that they “work hard.” That and his musical training are the key.
In addition to a heavy touring schedule, Denis also keeps busy running his own label, Marussia records. He started the label because he didn’t want to send tracks out to somewhere else because “it takes too much time to get music out there.” Given his continuous flow of quality productions and remixes, this comes as no surprise.
