THE 10 Qs SERIES
As a rising talent in the music industry, Ankhoï has spent the last few years exploring his musical range through genres as diverse as Melodic Techno, Afro, and Progressive House. With a handful of hot remixes – such as his 2023 remix of Keinemusik’s “Before The Flood” and his recent take on Mayra Andrade’s Afeto – he’s more than shown his talent when it comes to reworking and reimagining songs while also having his own fair share of original works.
His journey as an artist started young, when, at just twelve years old, he learned to play the guitar and the djembe – a type of African drum. Even then he was eager to explore his own creativity in a collaborative space and began to play in folk groups along with friends of his until, a few years later, he found his way into the electronic music scene.
His first release – the single Vertigo – came all the way back in 2020 and since then he’s been consistently working on music that pushes the boundaries of expectation for modern progressive dance. As an artist his explorative approach has helped him to define a style that feels broad in both its scope and inspirations.
With an ever-growing international audience of fans, there’s a real excitement about the potential for his future projects and collaborations.
