ADE 2024 Unveils Final Lineup, Reaffirming Its Status as the World’s Largest Electronic Music Festival

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), known globally as the premier festival and conference for electronic music, has officially released its full lineup for 2024. The five-day event, spanning more than 200 venues, will feature over 3,000 artists and 1,000 events, once again solidifying its position as the largest electronic music festival in the world.

A Grand Kickoff: ADE Arts & Culture Opening Concerts

This year’s ADE kicks off with five simultaneous Arts & Culture Opening Concerts on Wednesday, October 16. These performances promise to be a standout, celebrating the intersection of electronic music, classical compositions, and avant-garde performances. Dutch artist Eefje de Visser will perform an unplugged set in the glass atrium of the Van Gogh Museum, delivering an intimate, fifty-minute rendition of her work. Nick Verstand & the Cello Octet Amsterdam will present their audiovisual piece ‘COCON II’ at DOOR OPEN SPACE, specially curated for ADE.

Other unique concerts include legendary jazz singer Greetje Bijma collaborating with experimental artist Oceanic at BIMHUIS, while 24classics will host a performance of Philip Glass compositions by Lavinia Meijer at Zuiderkerk, blending hypnotic classical music with audiovisual installations by Nikki Hock. Additionally, the iconic Melkweg venue will see the Metropole Orkest and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson honor J Dilla in a tribute marking 50 years of his influence on music.
