JP Rodriguez joined us at the Nexus Lounge Miami during Miami Music Week. Known for his eclectic style and blending of genres, JP Rodriguez has made a name for himself in the electronic music scene.
His journey into music began a decade ago, marked by performances at Guatemala’s Empire Music Festival alongside household names like Marshmello. “I started 10 years ago. I’m actually from Guatemala,” JP recounted, his pride evident.

When the focus shifted to his current projects, JP couldn’t contain his excitement. “Actually, I have a lot of new music right here, right now. I’m giving away this to DJs and fellow coworkers right here.” His passion for Jersey Bounce and Bass House, among other genres, reflects his versatility and artistic zeal.
Switching gears, Davis introduced a segment called “Take Five,” pushing JP to share quick takes on eclectic topics. When asked which animal, if it could talk, would be the most rude, JP answered with a chuckle, “Snake.” Reflecting on life lessons, he shared wisdom: “That you need to be humble.”
The conversation took a meaningful twist as JP revealed his life’s purpose: “Living peace with each other, with respect,” he articulated, underscoring kindness’s importance. His legacy in music aims to inspire: “Anything can be possible. If you have dedication, and you are humble.”
JP’s resilience shines through, despite setbacks like not playing at the current Miami event. “It’s my first time actually in, such an event in Miami. I was hoping to play this year,” he admitted, yet his determination remains unwavering.
Their discussion wrapped up with mutual admiration and encouragement. “Well, thank you for joining us today,” Davis concluded, leaving JP to sign off with appreciation. Take a listen to the full interview below.
