2024 Is A Big Year For THNDERZ And His Game Changing Remixes

Joining us at the Level Awards space in the Nexus Lounge, Miami edition, we spoke with THNDERZ about his decade-long journey to musical success, the music he’s been listening to the most lately, and how his recent remixes have been fairing in the DJ community.

After starting his music journey in 2014, THNDERZ has come a long way. By combining hardstyle with psy and adding a healthy dose of guitar, he’s created a style unlike any other, and fans and fellow artists alike are here for it.

THNDERZ

Since beginning the THNDERZ project in 2019, his career has been on the up and up. He’s garnered support from Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, while his growing international fanbase has skyrocketed.

Since the start of this year, THNDERZ has been dropping music like there’s no tomorrow. Six fresh tracks have been released in the last five months, and it doesn’t look like he’s planning to slow things down any time soon. In particular, he noted his remix of Timmy Trumpet’s “Best Thing,” in which he combined one of Timmy’s latest tracks with some pop-punk and hard dance.

He also shouted out his remix of Taio Cruz and Flo Rida’s iconic hit “Hangover,” which was released in late 2023 and has been blowing up on social media practically ever since.

When he’s not working hard on his next release, we wanted to know which tracks give him the inspiration he needs. He says his top three listens are “Misery Business” by Paramore, “My Ex’s Best Friend” by Machine Gun Kelly, and Abracadabra by Maddix.

Outside of music he says his real passion is spending time at the gym.

“My mind is correlated with my body, so if my body is not right, my mind can’t really hit dramatically. For this reason, I go to the gym four or five times a week.”

As part of our series of Take5 questions, we like to ask artists something fun, silly, or just plain weird about themselves. For THNDERZ, we wanted to know which animal, if any, he’d choose to be. He chose a lion because, as he describes them, they represent “the calm before the storm”.
