The Dutch artist is a triple-threat in electronic and pop music: she is a singer, lyricist, and composer. The pandemic hasn’t stopped her from continuing to connect with people globally with the power of music––she has been hosting live ‘Acoustic Hangouts’ on her official YouTube channel, where fans get to watch her jam out with some household instruments.

She keeps it light with us while answering questions in our Take 5 series. She talks of new songs she has recorded, a music video she plans to shoot, and singles she plans to release. Even with all the busyness of her musical career, Hollis still falls into fads like the rest of us; she admits that her guilty pleasure is watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians––“It’s a nice distraction from real life,” she shares.

For those rocking a killer hangover, Hollis recommends two sage elixirs: Gatorade and water.

She keeps it real even when it comes to hypothetical superpowers. When choosing between the ability to read minds or control others, she immediately reasons, “I would never want to know someone’s thoughts. I mean, it’s tempting. But I don’t think you really wanna know what’s going on in people’s minds.” She would control others, she says. And she already has her eyes on her first victim: President Trump
