In January this year, Alan Walker performed his music for friends and classmates, and now he instead holds concerts for about 30 music festivals worldwide. There is no doubt the career of 18-year old EDM superstar has skyrocketed over the past year, much thanks to the single “Faded“, which has been watched close to 500 million times on YouTube. And now he is reaching for the stars, releasing a EDM rendition of Coldplay’s top hit “Hymn For The Weekend”.
Alan Walker’s remix picks up on the pace a bit, but isn’t a major departure from the original, with the producer choosing Chris Martin’s voice onto a new backing track, enhancing Coldplay’s single into a dance anthem suited for the nightlife, with pleasing synth melodies with huge tom rolls. The remix thereby establishes Alan Walker as an artist with brilliant remixing skills.
On his Twitter handle, Alan Walker asks his fans their thoughts of the remix –
