presented by

We were joined by Guz Hardy and J Luke Sennhesier pop-up studio at the Nexus Lounge in Miami. They answered our Take-5 interview series questions and spoke about their most recent project.
Guz Hardy and J Luke are two best friends from Sicily, Italy, who would’ve never guessed they’d find such success in their musical endeavors. Beginning as a cover tribute band, Guz is the DJ and producer of the two, while J is the singer and performer. They both act as songwriters in the context of their projects.

The two friends are relatively new to the scene, with their first single, “I Can’t Let You Go,” featuring Reiwa, released in the summer of 2019 under Creativ Music Group. A string of incredibly successful singles followed, making Hardy and Luke a household name in their genre. In 2020, they launched their label called Deserve Records. The first song was released in October of the same year, called “Close To You” with Scottish singer Kirsty Grant.
Even though Guz Hardy and J Luke have only been in the professional music industry for a few years, they understand the value of staying true to yourself and having confidence. When asked in our Take-5 series what their worst professional mistake was, they disclosed that it was working with people who didn’t believe in them. Hardy and Luke never forget who they are and why they work so hard despite these challenges.

“We live to play music and live to listen to music.”

During Miami Music Week, the Italian duo performed a live debut of their new release and an official remix of “Moth to a Flame” by Grammy award-winning artist, The Weeknd. The track can now be found on all streaming services.
