BUNT PICKS UP WHERE AVICII LEFT OFF

Billboard really puts it best: “In dance music’s ongoing effort to harness country’s crossover potential, duo Bunt appears poised to pick up where  left off.”

Bunt just released their new single “Old Guitar,” which merges an sound with a touch of folk: the track starts out with some bouncing banjo picking, but builds up to a synthesized trumpet drop. “We like the organic parts of folk and country, even ‘mistakes’ made by playing, for example, a banjo live. It has soul and original feeling,” they explain. “But we also love the energy which music makes through the tempo, powerful synthesizers, and strong kick drums.”

The upcoming music video for the song will similarly reflect the bridging of the two genres: the Stuttgart duo plan to create it via the social platform musical.ly, which allows users to “create and share their own 15-second music videos.” This way, their fans can also be a part of the process, not only bringing folk and together, but also artist and audience.
