Calvin Harris just went past a major milestone, when the Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna smash-hit “This Is What You Came For” officially passed a billion views on YouTube.
It has been a roller-coaster 2016 for the Scottish music producer. While most of the spotlight on Calvin Harris has been on his personal life in recent days, the professional aspect of his life is going strength to strength. With multiple chart-topping singles under his belt, the Scottish act has further cemented his name as one of dance music’s most renowned figures by crossing a billion views of his collaboration with Rihanna.
Harris took to Twitter to let the world know of this impressive feat.

Harris joins the enviable list of EDM artists Major Lazer and Avicii to grace the elite list. While crossing the billion line was a rare feat just a few years ago — back in December 2012, Psy’s “Gangnam Style” was the first clip to do it; there are now 33 other music videos that have entered the club, including multiples from Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Adele, Katy Perry and Fifth Harmony.
Rihanna and Calvin Harris are no strangers to success and big numbers. They have put out hits before, but it’s still stunning to see two artists just dominate an industry like this.
