The Chainsmokers are Collaborating with Chris Martin

American producers Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, the duo that forms the EDM group ‘The Chainsmokers’ have been at the top of their game most of 2015-16. The duo scored a major hit earlier this year when they released their single “Don’t Let Me Down,” with vocalist Daya. This has been followed by “Closer” ft pop vocalist Halsey, another hit dominating radio and streaming charts.

And just when we had thought there could be nothing bigger than what these have already achieved this year, the duo just shared two very-short clips revealing the subject of their next collaboration – one with Coldplay’s Chris Martin !!

Two Snapchat videos show the Chainsmokers — Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall — hanging out in the studio with Martin, who’s singing something pretty for your ears. In the first video, we can see Pall seated at the mixing console as a pop friendly piano progression rings out while Chris Martin belts out some catchy vocals. In the second video, we can hear some light electronic elements layered over the same piano pattern, as what sounds like an almost tropical tinged bell melody enters the speakers.

It is not yet if the planned collaboration is a Chainsmokers song featuring Martin or vice versa.
