presented by

Italian DJ and producer Daniele Frate joined us at the Nexus Lounge Amsterdam for a quick chat. He talks about his experience in Amsterdam, promotes the latest projects, and partakes in our Take 5 series!

The 24-year-old Daniele Frate has been making music for 12 years, making a name for himself among adults and young people in the country and beyond. But, despite his youth, his future is clear: he will be deeply engaged in the music industry. His ideal DJ set consists of an energetic and stimulating mix of Tech House/Future House remix mashups, both known and unpublished.

In 2018, he released his first EP, which included four tracks on DOS denial of service records. Three singles followed it in 2019, and he was also chosen as a national finalist of the TOUR MUSIC FEST, finishing third. His music has been consistent since that year, with numerous releases on various labels.

This year, Daniele Frate reached a new milestone by performing for the first time at Amsterdam Dance Event. He revealed that he has been to Amsterdam several times, but as a raver and not a performer. He loves to visit Circo Loco for relaxation and a good time.

The Italian DJ also mentioned that his latest projects include the remake of “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” by Kylie Minogue. He also teases a few tracks that will be released in the coming months and performances with other artists.

As we got more acquainted with the DJ, we found out how deep his connection to music was. When asked how he would describe electronic music to someone deaf, he answered, “I think music changes to connect people. It’s another way to get the feeling without talking. Because if you’re on the dance floor, you can know the people without speaking but by dancing.”
