David Guetta & Cedric Gervais are ready to close out the summer with their latest house anthem ‘Would I Lie To You’ alongside one of the most trusted vocal collaborators, Chris Willis.
‘Would I Lie To You’ is a gorgeous rework of Charles & Eddie’s soulful pop classic during the early 90’s. A major international success, the original version reached number one on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in November 1992, and was also number one in New Zealand, Germany and Austria. Together Guetta and Gervais rework the epic single in style for the modern dance-floor, with Chris Willis providing the perfect vocals for the collaboration. The three of them managed to put in just the right amount of contemporary production style to the classic sounds, to keep the originality, but do a fantastic recreation that powerfully encapsulates the passion of the original.
There are actually four versions of the track: a radio edit, extended version, club, and festival mix. Across these mixes, there really is one for every occasion, and the variety ensures that this new jam is one that’s going to be inescapable in the coming months.
