Tim Wu, or Elephante in EDM circles, risked it all, leaving a well-paid corporate job, by taking a career in progressive house. And he is not done taking more risks. In his recent single with Nevve, “Catching On“, Elephante has left out his unique style, which has worked well for him so far, and created a track which is against his norm.
“Catching On” is different, in that, Elephante has his focus on what sounds predominantly percussion-based. Having released it on Spotify, Elephante says –
“This song started on a rainy day in LA… It was all gray outside and I just started messing around until this “wuub wub wuub wub wubwubwubwubwub” thing appeared in my head… I didn’t think much of it at first, but it turned into one of my favorite tracks I’ve ever made. Writing the rest of it with Nevve was one of the most magical musical experiences i’ve ever had, she’s brilliant. It’s a different sound for me, but I’m super proud of it and I hope you all love it as much as I do <3 ENJOY!”
