Ellie Goulding to Sing New James Bond Theme?

Ellie-Goulding

With the new Bond film, Spectre, coming to theaters on November 6th, everyone is trying to guess who will be singing the theme song.

Sam Smith was a favorite among bookmakers, but he recently told Capital FM that it won’t be him: “People seem to think I’m doing it but I have no idea what’s going on,” he said. “I’m being deadly serious. I think I would know by now.” However, he also dropped a hint of who it might be instead: “I heard Ellie Goulding was going to do it; it’s definitely not me.”

This would not be entirely surprising, as Goulding has already had one of the best-selling singles of the year so far with Fifty Shades of Grey song “Love Me Like You Do.”  But ABC News reports that her management has denied Smith’s claims.

Spectre is the 24th  movie about the famous British spy, and whoever ends up singing the theme will join the ranks of Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra, and, most recently, Adele, who won an Oscar for her rendition of “Skyfall.”
