From Hi-Fi to Ministry of Sound: The Passion for Music of KARLHEINZ

KARLHEINZ stopped by Nexus Lounge Miami to share a little bit about his career and passion for music. During his visit to the city, where he meets with friends and does many business meetings, he revealed in the interview that he has already produced around 40 DJs.

“[I hope] to continue to work very seriously because I’m a professional. I want to make some good music for the people and the other DJ I produce”, he says.

The Italian DJ’s first encounter with music was when he first explored the piano keys. It was love at first sound. However, his passion only grew, and the artist decided to study classical guitar.

However, KARLHEINZ’s love for music had to take the back seat when he started working in the Hi-Fi Hi-End and audio industry throughout Europe. He traveled mainly to Germany and Switzerland in search of the perfect sound.

Missing the beats and the power of creation, KARLHEINZ returned to music. Now, he divides his time and skills into two parallel paths, as a DJ, and as a producer.

His music is best described as Techno Fusion, a blend of acid and dark sounds with dynamic and engaging metrics and rhythms.

When asked about the importance of art in his life, KARLHEINZ said that he wakes up daily with music. “I always listen to piano tracks. [Frédéric] Chopin is my favorite. I listen to techno house, but classical music is the best in my life.”

Among the events and festivals that KARLHEINZ has participated in, the Ministry of Sound in London in April 2023 was one of the most important in his career.

The nightclub was opened in the 90s and became a multimedia entertainment company in England. The brand is a reference in the world of electronic music.

When asked about the differences between the audience in the United States and Europe, KARLHEINZ said: “The style is really different. Americans like to go to EDM festivals, big events. In Europe, it’s small and different. But I like it together.”

The DJ also participates in the duo HAKA with Haldo. Their first EP, titled ‘SHAMS,’ was created and conceived for the label Cafe de Anatolia, with seven tracks.

To find out about the first track the DJ ever downloaded, the most embarrassing song on his playlist, and the weirdest food the producer has ever tasted, check out the full interview with him below.
