Giorgio Moroder Talks David Guetta and Potential Pop Artist Collaborations

moroder-5.19.2012Early synth disco and EDM producer and pioneer Giorgio Moroder has worked with a variety of talented artists and producers throughout his career. Moroder’s monologue that’s reminiscent of the start of his career was included in Daft Punk’s latest album, “Random Access Memories.”

His reputation as a legendary figure and collaborative producer in the EDM and disco scene is still well and at large as he said to Digital Spy, “ I started to work a little bit with David Guetta.”

The collaboration will likely be nothing short of amazing, but Giorgio Moroder also plans on working with “..a great singer” whose name is yet to be revealed.

He did, however, say that he wanted to work with Miley Cyrus who he believes is a talented singer. Moroder also hinted at a collaboration with other contemporary pop artists as he told Digital spy, “I love Lady Gaga, Rihanna- all the pop girls like Katy Perry.”

Rumors of Moroder included on the production side of Lana Del Rey’s album “Ultraviolence” were neither confirmed nor denied.

Moroder could not say exactly who he will be working with but mentioned, “It’s one of my all-time favorite singers.”

Fans can anticipate a collaboration confirmation soon as Giorgio said, “..if you call me in a few weeks I might be able to tell you who it is!”
