Pokémon Go has had a massive impact globally, with effects seen on the electronic dance music world. While some artists have reprimanded their audience not to be seen “catching any Pokemons in this bitch“, others have taken light of fans searching for Pokémons during concerts. EDM superstar Hardwell, however, took it the Pokémon fandom to a whole new level by dropping the Pokémons Theme to the crowd at the massive dance festival, Ultra Europe.

It is all well known of Hardwell having a great sense of humor, so at the end of his set at Ultra Europe, he teased the crowd for them to yell for “one more song”. And when they did, he dropped the Pokémons theme, literally catching thousands of ravers by surprise. Surprising his fans even more, Hardwell sang along to every word of the 90’s TV theme.

The stage was lit up with red and white Poké balls, while Pikachu also made a brief appearance for the electrifying moment.
