To learn more about the ItaloBrothers, check out our with their lead vocalist, Matthias, below:

Q; Before we dig in, tell us about your latest project.

We recently released our new single ‘Let Go’ feat. Kiesza. For us, it feels a little bit like a comeback. It´s been almost a year since we released ‘Ocean Breeze’, so I´d say it was about time. The story behind ‘Let Go’ describes the “end” of a long-lasting relationship where both parts realize the only way to proceed in a cool way, without closing every single door for a comeback, is to let go. At least for a while 😉

Q; What cocktail (or drink) recipe is getting you through the pandemic?

Hot chocolate with cream. Half and half, you know? 🙂 I try to keep my hands off alcohol these days.

Q; What is your first musical memory?

MJ with Billie Jean. I remember my uncle took me on a ride in his VW 2 series, tape deck included 🙂

Q: What’s the most useless talent you have?

I´m a pro in not closing doors. The fridge, freezer, dishwasher, closet, you name it. Aaaand my wife hates me for that 😀

Q; If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?

What does afterlife look like?

Q: You must survive in the Amazon Rainforest for a year. Which 3 DJs or industry friends would you take with you and why?

I´d take the whole band with me 🙂

Kris – because he has the ability to always see the positive side of things. I guess that´s pretty needed when trying to survive a trip like this.

Hanno – because he so far has a hard time understanding my kind of humor. A year in the Amazon Rainforest should do the job 😀

Dietmar – because he´s a true storyteller. You can reflect life with him 24/7 and pretty sure 365 days a year. Boredom? Negative!

Q: Which fictional character would be the most exciting to meet in real life?

Sherlock Holmes.

Q: Amsterdam, New York, or Tokyo?

New York

Q: Do you sing in the shower?

I did. My two-year-old daughter made me stop. “Dad stop singing!”

Q: And finally, what’s on your Netflix watch list?

Money Heist, The Rain and Suits.
